Hove's Premier Business & Social Club

Welcome to The Hove Club, an exclusive Social Club, founded in 1882, for business and professional people. It offers a unique ambience in one of Hove’s most elegant streets.

It was designed by local Irish Architect Samaul Denman and completed in the Jacobean style in 1897/8, matching in style and brickwork the Old Hove Town Hall  50 yards away. ( Burnt down in 1966). The glass is an impressive feature which allowed light through internal loft skylights for the Billiard tables on the first floor in days gone by. Electric lighting was in its infancy at the time of the roof's completion.

Enjoy the atmosphere with fine dining and an extensive selection of wines in our restaurant combined with the fellowship of our members in our reasonably priced bar.

Pop in to our Reading Room to take in the Daily Newspapers and enjoy a Coffee or join in one of our regular Games afternoons where many more traditional Games can be enjoyed -  Backgammon,Chess and Bridge can be played to name just a few.

A recently renovated Games Room, on the lower floor gives Members the chance to play Snooker, Pool and Darts and enjoy a large screen Television away from our traditional Bar and Function Rooms on the Ground Floor

There is also a programme of social events, WIFI, elegant gardens and a number of other attractions, all managed by professional and friendly staff. In 2023 we again received from Brighton and Hove City Council the 5 star rating for our modernised kitchen.

Our garden provides an attractove space affording Members a glorious escape in the warmer months and our terrace allows us to enjoy the sunny winter days being just a few steps from our cosy bar area.

Our attractive Gazebo provides a beautiful outdoor space for group dining in warmer months.
